Submission Guidelines
“This STF is for researchers who want their logistics and supply chain work to matter now.”
The manuscript you submit must employ an empirical methodology using data collected in 2024 or 2025 (secondary data used may also be from 2023).
Your high-quality research is current, provocative, relevant, and accessible—sharing ideas that people care about, when they need them. In short, we're looking for insights based on recent data that help decision-makers create value at the pace the world is changing today.
We value:
Timeliness over theoretical sprawl
Real-world relevance over excessive model complexity
Clarity and provocation over density and ambiguity
Think of your paper as a bold, relevant, data-backed contribution—designed for impact, not length.
The technical side:
Submission is only possible from September 15 to October 31, 2025
Submission Process:
Submit the full paper via the JBL submission platform (https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/jbl), following the journal guidelines available here.
In the submission portal, select “Original Article” and then, when asked if the submission is for a special issue, select “To the Point”.
Clearly state in the journal cover letter that the submission is for the SFT “To the Point“.
Submissions need to be 3,000 to 4,000 words in length. Figures and tables do not count against this limit. Authors are encouraged to use online appendices as appropriate.
Submissions undergo an expedited double-blind review process. Expect the first round decision and reviewer and editor comments within a month. Subsequently, you need to revise the manuscript within one month. Make sure to schedule your submission and other commitments accordingly.
Guidance for writing the manuscript:
(We will provide guidance on how to write manuscripts to the point here by April 30.)
